Revyou runs models locally via llama.cpp — no cloud processing, no API keys, no telemetry. Every manuscript, every review, every document you attach stays on your computer. The only network activity is downloading models from HuggingFace, the optional search/citation tools, and a one-time license check.
Conversation data is stored in ~/.revyou/ with restrictive owner-only file permissions. On Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\revyou\. You can delete everything at any time from within the app.
Web and literature tools (OpenAlex, Europe PMC, arXiv, PubMed, Semantic Scholar) are optional and off by default. Citation verification uses only public DOIs.

Privacy. Revyou processes everything locally and collects no telemetry. The only data that leaves your device is model downloads from HuggingFace, queries you make with the optional search/citation tools, and a LemonSqueezy license check when you activate Pro (license key only) — never your manuscripts. Contact: [email protected].
Terms. Revyou is provided “as is”, without warranty. Reviews are AI-generated and must not be treated as a substitute for human peer review or professional judgement. Pro is licensed under the plan you purchase (lifetime, up to 3 devices).
Refunds. Purchases are handled by LemonSqueezy, our merchant of record, who also manages VAT/sales tax and refunds. Contact [email protected] within 14 days of purchase for a refund.
Consumer disputes. EU consumers can raise a complaint with us at [email protected]; unresolved disputes are governed by Croatian consumer law and the competent courts in Croatia.
Community feedback. Ratings and comments are anonymous. Comments are moderated and appear only after review; we may remove any content and delete ratings at our discretion. Please don’t post personal information, unlawful, or abusive content. To report something, email [email protected].
